Dragon Quest IX Guide Bestiary

I create this section so you can use it for next section in my guide (item alchemy,etc). For Grotto enemies, you can only hope to get  a map that has the enemies because Grotto maps are random.

      i hate the stupid uncommon cold, before it could beat 3 of my party members in one hit, it comepletely surpasses ragin contagion like crazy!!!

        the easy way 2 beat them: falcon slash, hatchet man, hardclaw, mulitiheal. i beat like 20 this way. it works. try it. :)

    i found 3 metal slimes in a battle and they kept calling friends and then i hit like 5 with gigaslash and i ended the battle and each of my people went up like 2 levels.:D

    What levels would you recommend in order to defeat Malroth? I have

    Minstrel 76- Uber Falcon Blade, Sacrosanct Armor, Metal Slime Helm and Shield, Safety shoes, light gauntlets, mighty armlet

    Gladiator 67- Avalanche Axe, Catrophic Armor, Trodain bandana, light gauntlets, hero’s boots, life bracer
    Priest 73- Xenlon rod, Celestria’s Raiment, silver shield, winter sky hat, minister’s mittens, blessed boots, monarchic mark
    Warrior 73- Uber Falcon Blade, same as gladiator + silver shield

    All are wearing impregnable leggings.

    I have an Yggdrasil Leaf and dew for everyone plus other good items. I can use Gritty Ditty. But I can’t beat him.

      Yeah i get them all the time.
      you can make Elevating Shoes (Depressing Shoes + Lucky Pendant) which then you can make Pixie Boots (Elevating Shoes + Elfin Charm x2) which then make Trixie Boots (Pixie Boots + Agate of Evolution).

      Their awesome, i have them on my Luminary. but they can be worn by everyone i think.

      As stated above, you get them from Vermillions (Monster Number 246). They are only found in grottoes, and not just any grottoes… high-level grottoes, and not just any high-level grottoes… certain grottoes with a specific terrain. I actually forget where I found the ones I used to have a map for, but if all goes well, I’ll get to that point in the game in a week or so. :D

      It is about that level, but The name of the grottos itself has important role. I forgot what prefix or suffix thath generate platinum king jewel, sorry. Just keep trying.

        where do u find metal king slimes? i went to the tower of nod and spent 2 hours there and couldent find 1!

        p.s. could i crush 1 in a turn i have a lv. 38 armementalist, 68 martial artist, 64 preist, and 67 minstrel.

          It’s very rare T T. just keep seraching and you’ll find one. If you’re lucky you can find a grotto map inhabited by them.

          i have a grotto that has metal king slimes called diamond marsh of bane level 54 and its on the island with belle caps next to gleeba (maybe has something to do with diamond name?)Hope it helps in any way.

      I don’t include boss section because I haven’t complete all of grottos boss. For story line boss I think it is nod needed because you will meet with them eventually. Thanks for your tips

    How can we access to the Tower of Nob for Metal King Smile? Is it a part of the main quest?

    You say the Metal liquid smile is located in Angel falls, but where is the exact location? I can’t find it.

      Metal slime family can be found in angel falls, but it is actually in slime hill (part of angel fall area but the area’s name do not change so i still called it angel fals :D ). You can access slime hill in post game because you need ability to fly in order to reach slime hill.
