Misc:

Important info(credit to TEAM PUFF PUFF):

Whenever you boot up the game you will see three slimes during the loading screen, and sometimes you may see an orange she-slime. These orange she-slimes not only increase the item drops from monsters after battle, but they also increase chances of successfully stealing from them, and also the likelihood of spawning rare alchemy items and mini medals from blue chests and pots. On top of that, they increase your success with certain side-quests, especially the ones that require ‘Critical Hits’ or ‘Important Item’ drops from specifics monsters!

So, if you ever see that orange she-slime during the loading screen, DO NOT turn off your game. Put it on pause until you’ve finished as many side-quests as you can and found all the items from the pots and the blue treasure chests that you can find, and stole as many items from certain monsters as possible.

P.S. It is in a red chest!

Rusty Helmet= The mini medal guy in Dourbridge, I forget how much you need.

Rusty Gauntlets= (Extra Quest) Go to the grave in north east brigadoom and accept the quest and you automatically get the rusty Gauntlets.

Rusty Armour= (Extra Quest) Go to the raised Plato south of Upover by using the star flight express and go inside and talk to the first skeleton that is in the sunlight and go and defeat a blight knight with heart breaker
P.S. blight knights can be found in level 50+ ice grottos!

      Hope this is helpful!

  10. Lyareth says:

Woo finally goto three characters to level 99! :D Also, what do you do once you have completed quest 46 (Putting Em In Platinum) because it’s realated to the story and i don’t know what to do next :( Please help!

    • Lyareth says:

Sorry I keep asking questions, but which other boss/ bosses drop silver orbs? i know Baramos does, but who else?

      • Lyareth says:

My party, by the way, is:

        Tobias (MC)- Level 99 Minstrel
        Ivana – Level 99 Priest
        Lucy – Level 99 Sage
Alec – Level 99 Gladiator Or Level 63 Paladin

  11. insane says:

and would it not make since that the monster at the top of the tower of nod is named nod

  12. insane says:

im trying to find moai ministral and i was told it was pos to be in level 50 grottos or higher but i went through 4 times and no luck where is he
ps. still dont have a uber falcon blade

    • AeonZen141 says:

Moai Minstrels do appear in level 50 or above grottos and usually after level 8-9. Also they can’t just be any kind of grotto, i heard they appear in caves and water dungeons. also the name of the map is helpful to find a Moai Minstrel so you can find out if its a cave or water dungeon ect. i found a Moai Minstrel in a grotto with the word Nest in it so if it has the word nest i can say you can find one as i have found one and completed the luminary quest myself. Also i actually ended up finding the Moai mintrel by acident… i ended up finding it the second time i went through the grotto and so when i decided to do the quest i had to look around for a little bit as they don’t just appear everywhere.
Well hopefully this is a little bit helpful, although i do think i suck at explaining stuff.

    • DRAGON KING says:

why do u want a mio minstrel they are so hard to kill and strong they drive me insane

  13. insane says:

i am trying to get a meterorite bracer so i can get uber falcon blade but i need 3 more mini medles and then i need to buy a new falcon blade then hopefully i can can beat sir sanguinuss easyer because like 80% of the time i lose

    • Lyareth says:

There’s an easy way to get a falcon blade. go on your ship, press B and then go to the bottom of the ship. At the back of the ship, there is a cage with a chest in, and in the chest there should be a Falcon blade :D

  14. uberchamp95 says:

WOOOOOOOOOT! corvus just got his -bleep- kicked. Pwned him in 5 turns. Lvl 85 for all characters and i even got a co op de grace. how lucky is that!

  15. Kai says:

Does anyone know where/how to get the rusty gauntlets?

  16. corvusconquerer says:

Haha I just beat Corvus on my first try!I feel a bit dissapointed though, it took me about 3 minutes. He didn’t use magic burst or meditate once, so it was very easy. I was a lvl 48 Paladin, lvl 30 Gladiator, lvl 51 priest, and lvl 28 armamentalist. Just wanted to know if anyone else found this last boss fight so simple as well? Or was it just insanely good luck on my part?

  17. Lynn says:

I seem to be having trouble with the game not crediting accomplishments to my side quests…any suggestions?

  18. Nick says:

Ok, what gives? I just revocated my whole party and all of my stats just died(Like HP, Strength, Resilience, ect.) My skill point upgrades and such didn’t change, but I thought that your stats stayed the same to further improve upon yourself. Is this what’s supposed to happen?

  19. Kai says:

I got the legendary armor last night. It is so shinny, goes well w/ my soul sucker :)

  20. nuttynicola says:

    quest 86 (brave the caves)
    kylie (swinedimples)
    the 3 caves are
seaside – twyll cave kill mortoads untill you get bonzer boomeranging
flower town – bad cave kill hunter mechs untill you get better boomeranging
wooded area – bow hole kill living statue untill you get basic boomeranging
go back to kylie and he gives you the boomerang bible.

  21. JJ says:

This may sound weird…but do you know the best place to become enveometed (poisoned, but the type pf poison that hurts you in battle, not the one that only hurts you when you walk).

  22. bob says:

did anyone get pokemon black or white?

  23. nuttynicola says:

    at long last i’ve done quest 34 ( a simple task )
    you need Erdrick’s helmet

  24. Kai says:

I’m still waiting to buy a birthday cake. Been checking the wifi shop everyday for last 6 months, including my birthday but still no luck. Has anyone gotten the cake to finish quest #122?

  25. DQ9 addict says:

I have posted this on the post game but I thought I’d post this here too because I really need an answer. I have completed the quest to fly but cannot summon starflight. Can anyone help?

    • nuttynicola says:

you need to use Sterling’s Whistle.

    • Nick says:

Um well the Whistle is in your possessions, so you need use that and that should summon the Starflight. If not, well try and put it in your main characters possessions, it’s an item called “Sterling’s Whistle” if that helps, it isn’t a spell.

  26. JJ says:

    Quest 39,can’t beat.
I got all the equipment on my mage, Went to twyll cave to summon levithan on the top, but he wasnt there!!!!
    Did I do something wrong??

  27. Nick says:

The link to grotto maps died, as in it isn’t there any more.

  28. JJ says:

I think I checked all the trasure maps for ffsky…but I cant find Clay Cave of Joy lv. 1 anywhere! Do you know where this is?

  29. bob says:

I GOT LEGENDARY ARMOR AND IT WAS MY 17TH TRY BUT IM STILL SUPER HAPPY, ITS SHINY.all i need is the hallowed helm then i have all the armor(not the best only some is the best)and i have all of the weapens.kai how many alchemiracles have you gotten? i have 4, both gloves, legendary armor and seraphs bow :D

    • Kai says:

I have 6 alchemiracles. Sword, boomerang, bow, shield, staff and gauntlet. Tried for boots last night but failed.

      • bob says:

hmm how many times have you tried total?and what is your highest resiliance mine is 600 and if you know how to get higher let me know :)

        • Kai says:

I’ve tried 17 times. Haven’t been able to figure out how to increase strength or resilience w/ equipment.

  30. JJ says:

I showed a couple of my friends this guide and now everyone I known that plays dragon quest IX is using it -_-

    • JJ says:

I also have one last question:
What are Co-op grace? I know what coup grace are, but people are talking about something different, co-op grace. What is co-op grace? and how do you do it(since you don’t have the button for it)

      • noobbgodlike says:

It’s kind of limit break in final fantasy game (if you have played one of them). It happened randomly based on your luck (i mean your luck, not character’s luck status :D ). Your character will do a special attack based on their job (it’s called Coup de grace;ex: knight will do guaranteed critical in his/her next attack). If you manage to get more than one coup de grace at the same turn you can combine them and it will become CO-Op de grace (CMIIW).

I never get CO-Op De grace when I was playing DQ IX and because it’;s completely random, you can’t rely on it :D
        Hope it helps

        • Nick says:

I’ve had the luck of seeing two. Basically, when all four of your characters have a Coup de Grace at the same time and you execute them simultaneously, you’ll receive a Co-op de Grace, which is a single super-powered attack/ability of some sort. Depending on which vocations are in your party, allow you different options. For Luminary I think you get the option to turn all monsters into metal creatures, I think for Warrior you can do like an ultra attack, and for a priest, I think you can become invincible for a select amount of turns and for Gladiator, you get Tension boosts for all party members, look it up on Youtube.

    • noobbgodlike says:

thank you :D . Hope your friend can tell their friend too :D

  31. Kai says:

Got a Gringham Whip from wifi shop :) Now I’m just missing Critical Fan and Cataconic Cosh.

  32. JJ says:

Thank you for showing this guide!!! i still can’t beat King whatever his name is in Gettingham palace, 2nd form =( I have:gladiator, level 29, sword skill 76 and guts 47. My thief is level 36, 82 on knife skill, 17 on acquisitiveness. My mage is level 35, 92 whip skill and 24 spellcraft. My priest is level 35, 69 spear skill, 21 faith.
Do you have any tips on how to beat the boss in gettingham, last boss, 2nd form???

  33. Bob says:

    What’s the highest resilience ??????

  34. Bob says:

What’s the highest you can go in resilience? I’m at 600 exactly :/

  35. Bob says:

Hmm whats a really fun game for the DS or wii?

  36. Van Lynn says:

Ionno know why, but it will not let me respond to your post about making both guides, Noobbgodlike. :\

Anyway, it turns out that Pokemon Black and White come out in the US the day AFTER my birthday (they come out on March Sixth and my birthday is March Fifth). >.< How annoying . . . . They come out in Europe on March Fourth, the day BEFORE my birthday. Why can not anything cool happen ON my birthday? I just want ONE thing, that is all I ask. :'( Maybe the next generation? Anyway, I suppose this is not the place to be talking about Pokemon, so I will stop here. Lol

As an aside, have you made a page for LoA, and if so, where would I find it? And are you gonna make a page for Pokemon Black/White, too? Because that would be the ideal place to talk about it, obviously.

(By the way, I'm planning on buying both Black and White Versions, so let me know what one you're going to play so that I can play the opposite. I'm already planning on playing Black version first so that it is not so damn hard to get Sawk before the second gym, so I suggest you get White before Black. XD)

    • noobbgodlike says:

I am really about LOA page. I have been sick for about a week, so I can’t create the guide for this game T T.I think, I will add forum in my site so all people can discuss it there, but I am not sure if anyone need forum too. Will create it a=once I have a free time :D .

about pokemon I am still not sure which version I want to play :D . will tell you later :D

      • Ben says:

I prefer white over black for several reasons, but there are two reasons I want black badly… I can’t remember one of the reasons, I think it has to do with trade or the difference in 1-2 pokemon and heart scales can be bought for 10k in black but not white.
There are plenty reasons I like white than black in game mechanics.

  37. Beaz neaz says:

    How do you get recilence

  38. Beaz neaz says:

What’s an easy way to get astrule plumes

  39. Kai says:

Sigh, wifi shop didn’t offer me angel’s robe or tropotoga. I connected everyday. Does anyone know what affects the items offered in the shop?

    • bob says:

i think its random but i have like 3 tropotogas and 3 angels robes, i got them almost everyday(i already had 2 angel robes and one tropotoga).but look at the bright side you get alot of alchemiracles, im like 3 out of 35 ,so you should be happy.i have seraphs bow, godly gloves, and sol invicis guantlets

    • Nick says:

Well I got a Tropotoga on a few days, but I never saw an Angel’s Robe either, when they were doing the hat thing, I never saw the Spring Breeze Hat, but saw the Winter Sky Hat twice. I think it might be area-specific.

  40. Beaz neaz says:

    Who gives yellow orb grottos

  41. BurnedChicken says:

Could you make a guide for Dragon quest: Hand of the heavenly bride???
    (ds) :)

    • noobbgodlike says:

I really want to create that, but I think many people laready beat that game and don’t need a guide anymore. Instead, I will try to create a guide for dragon quest VI later

      • Van Lynn says:

So you’ve decided to definitely make a Dragon Quest VI guide, eh? I better get the game. :D

Of course, Pokemon Black/White have priority over Dragon Quest VI. Lol

        • noobbgodlike says:

lol, I prefer pokemon too in terms of gameplay, but pokemon’s story is kinda the same from the first generation :D . I’ll try to create both of them if I amnage to get them :D

  42. Nick says:

Ok, so you know how the Nodof quest was released recently, well when you go to the description for when you defeat him, it says that Celestria was riding on him, when it was Serena who was riding him. HAHA

  43. Bob says:

Kai I can’t figure out how to get back to your list of the alchemiracles skill thing.

  44. Kai says:

Bob – sorry for getting back so late. I’ve been trying but haven’t been able to post.

At level 99, Rangers have the highest natural deftness at 500. Deftness is further increased by maxing out the vocational skill trees (you can get +100 from ranger ruggedness, +60 from thief acquisitiveness, and +50 from minstrel litheness)

You’ll also want to equip your main hero with equipment that increases deftness, like murky mittens (+86) or grandmaster’s gloves (+96). Don’t forget Medal of Freedom accessory, (you get it the first time any of your characters go through revocation as a ranger) which gives you +100.

Other than that, unless you’ve been lucky in getting seeds of deftness, I can’t think of other ways to increase deftness. Not sure if possible to get to 999, my guy is at 896.

From what I’ve read, alchemiracle success rate is only based on your main character’s stat, not any of the supporting members.

    • Bob says:

Ok so here’s what happend while you were gone,I got the godly gloves(deftness +100) so now I’m going to revocate my other ranger so I get the deftness thing so now I will have a total of 920 deftness. I also have been trying to make the best bow I’ve tried twice with a 30% chance but it hasn’t worked but I have 3 yellow orbs I need 1 more. There’s one more question, is there an easier way to get the agate of evolution than going in a level 99 grotto a billion times looking for sainted soma in chests, and then make the sainted soma into the agate of evolution in the alchemy pot?

      • Kai says:

Congrats on the Godly Gloves, looks like the table is helping you out  I don’t rely on treasure chests for sainted somas and make most of mine through alchemy (2x lucida shard, 2x sage elixir, 2x astral plume). After I collect the raw materials from the world map, I steal the rest from monsters (brighten rock from cosmic chimera, evencloth from ragged reaper, flurry feather from weaken beakon, and fresh water from cheeky tiki).

        • Bob says:

It makes me mad because I have tried to make the bow 3 times now, it doesn’t work :( but since I’ve tried to make so many alchemiracles I think I’m on to something , since it makes you save before you actually try,and if you shut off your game after it saves it has already chosen if it was an alchemiracle or not, so if theres a way to tell wether or not its going to make the alchemiracles before it saves then you would always be able to tell if it would work or not.Tell me if you find anything else out :)

      • Nick says:

Um, actually making the sainted soma???? Really the only issue with them is the need for fresh water, but that’s only needed to make the astral plumes, which are a part of sainted somas. astral plumes are dropped in mid-level grottoes.

        • Kai says:

I haven’t sat down and clocked which way is faster in getting astral plumes; either by stealing fresh water and feathers, or completing the repeatable quest #121.

    • Van Lynn says:

There definitely IS a way to get ANY stat to 999, and here it is: http://www.gamefaqs.com/ds/937281-dragon-quest-ix-sentinels-of-the-starry-skies/faqs/60965

I haven’t actually tried it for myself, since I can’t reach the requirements right away, but from what the videos suggest, it IS possible to get a seed every fight, so long as you meet the requirements. Good luck farming. ^-^

      P.S. This isn’t cheating. V_V

  45. Bob says:

Does any one here have wifi with call of duty mw 2 or world at war for the ?

  46. Bob says:

Um what does deftness acually do

  47. Jason says:

y dont u make a guide about the extra quests on dragon quest?

  48. Bob says:

Can u guys send me your pokemon friend code if u have the game and I need to fix my wii because it can’t read the discs, help plz

  49. Bob says:

I now might have to buy the new 3DS because my DS keeps freezing on me.I had 2 yellow orbs and 4 sainted soma and now it’s gone >:(

  50. Van Lynn says:

Okay, I just got Lord of Arcana yesterday (and no store had Civilization: Revolution. D’:). It is pretty fun to play, though it does start out slow and a little boring. I will just say that after you defeat bosses, the explosion is awesome. XD

The game is pretty straightforward, however, and I do not think a guide would be needed for it, since you can pretty much only do what is allowed at each specific point in the game. I only have about six-and-a-half hours clocked so far, but it is starting to get real exciting. :D

Well, I suppose a guide could be helpful, since it took me almost an hour in the second quest of the game (failed the first time . . . >.<) to figure out that I needed to put the Red gem things into the delivery box at the start of the map. I had, like, 21/5 red things, so I got a LOT of money for it, with only a few minutes left of the quest. He-he. There are also parts where you have to find stuff in certain areas, which can be annoying since it does not tell you where they are. Boss-fighting guides would be very helpful, too . . . .

Another thing that's annoying is that you usually have a time limit on how long the quest will take until you fail it, no matter how far you are able to progress into it. Other than that, though, it is a pretty good game. I would recommend getting it even if you are not going to make a guide for it. :D

Yes, this has nothing to do with Dragon Quest Nine, but I do not know any other way to talk to you. Sorry. :\
