Tiny Monsters The Egg Hunt Quest Guide

Thanks to Ehlana and Draelan for these quest info

Tiny Monsters Egg Hunt Quest Icon

You need to visit Phineas’ island (Tap Social Menu; next to the monsterpedia => Tap “Visit” on Phineas)

The order of Phineas islands is shown on the picture below

Egg Hunt Quest Guide

All eggs need to be earned by BREEDING. I really have no idea why people think they only need to tap the egg and they get the monsters XD.

You finish this quest by breeding/hatching the monster on your islands, Phineas’ islands only show you what eggs that needed to breed. (not breed on His island).

Rewards: 250 XP and 250 Food

Tiny Monsters Island 2 Phineas Egg

[2] Hatch one egg on Island 2; Frostbeam (Ice/Light, 13 hrs) or Thunder (Earth/Electric, 19 hrs)

What the?! I was finally starting to make some progress with this quest and suddenly it’s over. Unless you already had two of each monster ready to breed this was an unrealistic time frame for such a long quest!!
Between this and the ridiculous amount of food you need for multiple other quests that is taking weeks, if not months, to raise, I can only see tiny co turning more people off this game. A challenge is one thing, but making it almost completely unachievsble is frustrating and disappointing

This one would have been so easy for me, except for the second part. I have 2 of at lease one of all the monsters in all the levels, but for the monsters in part 2, I only had one of each. I could not for the life of me get the second of either monster. I even was doing Earth/Electric in social breeding, in an attempt to get the Thunder. It is over now, so I failed. Not really complaining though. I got both Elder Fire, and Elder Plant (mythic for the Plant) from my social breeding attempts. I had neither of them yet either.

I cannot believe this quest is over! What a BUST!! The idea was cute but way to difficult unless you buy loads of diamonds to progress hatch time! Very annoying!

    • noobbgodlike says:

yup, I don’t know what tinyco trying to do… they usually ended this kind of quest when they have pulled limited monsters out (on this case Joy). but now…..

  4. emilio says:

Just hatched a bug monster for island 4, an hour too late I guess :(. And in 9 hours my last one fir island 5 would haven been done. Bummer bummer bummer

  5. Lady bear says:

I’ve hatched two snow bluffs and haven’t managed to get a tempest. No point in telling them. Tried that last time I had a similar issue with a quest a by the timer I had gone to and fro a couple of times the quest was over. Disappointed.

  6. colorkoala says:

I dont have tundra as an option for island 3 unless phineas clears the debris…it looks like it is either a version or device diference, but i have to say, it looks kinda little in comparison to the other pictures, kinda suspicious…

  7. MimiMonster says:

I’m on 2nd island and the thunder I bred and hatched did not advance my quest. Progressed just fine after I bred snowbluff. Now what….I have to breed a frost beam too? My quest log is ridiculous and long. Buying gems and food should not stay on my quest log till the end of time.

  8. Daisy says:

I think I am officially done doing these quests!!!! I have tried for 4 days for the 2nd egg and I cant get a Frostember for nothing! I just tried someones suggestion and did Sun and Aurora and now got 23 hour breed time, Grrrr!

I just wish that after like 5-6 tries they would put some sort of thing in their programming to let us have the dang egg!

So I am going back to just hatching only the cute critters that come along! And i thought this was going to be such a clever and fun task since we had to hunt for the eggs on his island! 🙁

    • colorkoala says:

You dont need a frostember for this…

    • Pixie (tiny ID: Lyxnaria) says:

This is a late response, but I want to make sure you’re trying for the right egg. The egg on the 2nd island is Frostbeam, and you said Frostember, which is a different monster. That being said….Frostbeam is a tough one to get! I’m level 80-something and I still haven’t gotten a Frostbeam, and that’s not for a lack of trying! But there’s plenty of other other monsters or there to try for, so I wouldn’t worry about it.

For this quest. I tried to breed frostbeam 2-3 times, failed, and simultaneously worked on breeding a Thunder in the social den. I ended up getting a Thunder just to move along with the quest! But! I’d say just work on getting new monsters and limited ones. This quest doesn’t have a very big reward (only 10 diamonds) and takes A LOT of work.

I’m only doing the quest as an excuse to try to breed some monsters I don’t have or need the mythic of 🙂

      • Daisy says:

Oh dear I mispoke, I meant Frostbeam. I do have one and am still trying to hatch another for the quest and nothing.

I agree though, the quests arent very rewarding for the amou t of time they take LOL

  9. qwiggy says:

I finished hatching the last egg on the egg hunt…is there another final reward besides the gems for each egg?

  10. Daniel says:

I tired at this for a week. I must’ve hatched three or four tempests and nothing happened. I’m rather not into wasting my time trying anymore.

    • noobbgodlike says:

are you sure you’re on the “right” island quest?? You need to do the quest in order, and if you do, follow fix error section on the main page.

    • Lynx73 says:

I’m on android & have the same problem. Tried snowbluff & tempest. No joy. Works on ipad, but not android. Will not move onto next level.

      • Sherrie Thoo says:

Did you make a visit to Phineas Island? You must visit the island for the quest to be completed.

        • Lynx73 says:

Thank you for suggestion, but I had visited it. All of a sudden a few days ago this quest started clearing at last. Now if only all the other quests that won’t clear would start it will be great.

  11. Sandy says:

Noob, I’m on my fourth island hatching the egg and I still only have the one basket in my decorations. When do I get the rest of the baskets? Or did I do something wrong?

    • noobbgodlike says:

I don’t know. Maybe you were wrong> (can;t find other eggs), or maybe it’s just like that. Just follow what appears on your game.

      • Sandy says:

Tks I keep getting credit from quest so I guess it’s right.just see others with lots of baskets so thought I was missing something

  12. Egghead_1313 says:

My third island doesn’t look like the picture. It doesn’t have the tundra egg anymore. It only has the aquaveil and the strike eggs. ????
    Any ideas?
Do you think tundra will still complete the quest?

  13. Sandy says:

Tokay, so I did the first egg and it gave me credit in the quests, but all I got was a snow luff monster. No Easter basket???

  14. jewls says:

Hi Noobb silly question but do you have to hatch them in order, island 1 first etc???
